Why Is There a $3 Processing Fee?
When you submit a group hotel room request on groupRooms, you will notice a small $3 processing fee. This fee helps us maintain and improve the platform so we can continue connecting travelers with the best group hotel rates.
What the Fee Covers
- We negotiate on your behalf — Our team calls hotels directly to negotiate the best possible group rates for your event, so you get deals you would not find on your own
- Platform maintenance — Keeping our search, comparison, and RFP tools running smoothly
- Verified hotel network — Maintaining relationships with hotels across the country to ensure quality group rate offerings
- Customer support — Providing help when you need it, from booking questions to itinerary changes
- Secure transactions — Processing payments safely and protecting your personal information
How the Fee Works
The $3 fee is charged once per request — not per room or per night. Whether you are booking 5 rooms or 50, the processing fee remains the same. It is charged at the time you submit your group room request.
Travelers Never Pay Hotel Markups
Unlike traditional travel agencies that add commissions on top of hotel rates, groupRooms does not mark up hotel prices. The rates you see from hotels are the rates they offer directly. Our only charge is the flat $3 processing fee per request.
Is the Fee Refundable?
The processing fee is non-refundable. However, if a hotel cancels your booking through no fault of your own, contact our support team and we will work with you on next steps.
